My babies and I are taking a sick day today. All are napping and I am going to take a few quiet moments to make a post then join them soon...
I traveled to Oakland, CA to photograph Brad and Rachel's wedding day. It is always so flattering to be flown out! How beautiful is the Oakland temple? When I arrived is was heaven with the complete cloud cover. I am not a fan of photographing in full sun. But shortly after arriving, CA lived up to its "Sunny California" nickname, and the morning clouds burned off. But we used angles and made the most of it cause, what else can you do! I was really pleased with these images. Hope you two, Brad and Rachel, love them!
Bridesmaids ready and waiting for the bride and groom to come out of the temple.Kids played and entertained themselves while waiting.
Oh and ate snacks that one mother so wisely packed for the kiddies.
I have to mention that the brides brother and I believe uncle were both in bike accidents and badly hurt the day before the wedding. The bride's brother here on the right broke his collar bone and I am not sure what else but it was a miracle they were able to get out of the hospital and participate in the day...note his hospital bracelet still on. And while we are talking about accidents the day before the wedding, the groom actually fell off a ladder from two stories up and broke a window on the way down. How he walked away from that still baffles me. This wedding day so easily could have been a whole different story if these accidents had ended differently.
A few final wedding day primps.
And here they come...
Best celebration expression!
All of the bride and groom's guests.
Good kids have usually been raised by great parents. From what I could gather, these two have wonderful parents.
Not to mention a houseful of fun siblings on the bride's side...
...and the groom's side.
The ladies
The men. All brothers might explain why the picture on the end looks so natural.
The wedding party.
I LOVE the image. I bet the groom's mother will love it too. I always try to give credit where credit is due...the groom's brother, Matt (first in line behind the groom) was the artistic director behind this one. I am not sure if it is exactly what he was explaining to do, but it works for me.
After the family and wedding party pictures, I took another hour or so to work with the bride and groom on the temple grounds.
These two were fun, very, very fun to work with. The groom provided a number of laughs and one of a kind images.
View overlooking San Francisco. If you know where to look and can zoom in, you can see the Golden Gate Bridge!
Love these here shoes of the bride's.
I know the crop is a bit different, but it was on purpose and I kinda like it. Just for something a little bit different once in a while.
Trying to do serious almost always leads to some laughs.
I LOVE the bride's earnings and her freckles. I always wanted freckles and dimples.
You two are beautiful! Hope your first few months of marriage have been the same!
